Light Talk with The Lumen Brothers

LIGHT TALK with The Lumen Brothers (And SISTER!) is a place where lighting designers can feel free to express what really annoys them about the industry and the art of stage lighting design. Inspired by the beloved NPR radio show, CAR TALK, LIGHT TALK with The Lumen Brothers features the musings and rantings of David Jacques, Ellen Lampert-Greaux, Dennis Size, Zac Borovay, and Steve Woods. These five theatre artists have been producing and designing the live stages and broadcast events of the world for many, many decades. Burnt out and abused by the industry and the insanity of the profession, LIGHT TALK with The Lumen Brothers takes the rantings of these four theatre artists to the world. Look for our regularly scheduled Podcast discussing the issues of our time. Nothing is Taboo, Nothing is Sacred, and very little makes sense. Welcome to LIGHT TALK!

In this episode of LIGHT TALK, The Lumen Brothers welcome back Brother Zak Borovay to LIGHT TALK!

Join Zak, Steve, and David as they pontificate about: Making career decisions; Getting back to nature; Missing important design skills; SUNY Purchase vs. NYU paperwork styles; Standardized paperwork for projection designers; Early traumatic childhood experiences that led us to destroying our lives in the theatre; Lumen Brothers' on stage acting experiences; "Better Than Life Ideas'; No More 10 out of 12 madness; New jukebox musicals; Limited runs; and a tribute to The Funk Brothers.

Nothing is Taboo, Nothing is Sacred, and Very Little Makes Sense.
