Light Talk with The Lumen Brothers

LIGHT TALK with The Lumen Brothers (And SISTER!) is a place where lighting designers can feel free to express what really annoys them about the industry and the art of stage lighting design. Inspired by the beloved NPR radio show, CAR TALK, LIGHT TALK with The Lumen Brothers features the musings and rantings of David Jacques, Ellen Lampert-Greaux, Dennis Size, Zac Borovay, and Steve Woods. These five theatre artists have been producing and designing the live stages and broadcast events of the world for many, many decades. Burnt out and abused by the industry and the insanity of the profession, LIGHT TALK with The Lumen Brothers takes the rantings of these four theatre artists to the world. Look for our regularly scheduled Podcast discussing the issues of our time. Nothing is Taboo, Nothing is Sacred, and very little makes sense. Welcome to LIGHT TALK!

In this episode of LIGHT TALK, The Lumen Brothers and Sister talk about everything from Creating the Illusion to Remembering Ozzy Osbourne.

Join Ellen, Dennis, Steve, and David as they pontificate about: David and Snoot's wedding report; Our memories of Ozzy; Royal Castle burgers in a box; Tomorrowland fire; How to choose your colors while using subtractive and additive mixing; Remounting shows and matching color using different sources; How to create an effect of light coming through a slit in the wall of the set; What to do when your plot, paperwork and backups are stolen; Total Bastard's "Eternal Roll of Gaffer's Tape"; and How much pre-production decision-making is necessary.

Nothing is Taboo, Nothing is Sacred, and Very Little Makes Sense.
